Dear Friends, So much is happening, and we're excited to share with you through this newsletter each month. The "Angels in Waiting" radio show has been an incredible experience for us. It's heart-warming to know how comforting it is for the people who call in for dedications and receive messages from their loved ones who have crossed over. KOST 103.5 broadcasts from Los Angeles, however, you can listen globally via the Internet. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for people to heal their pain of grief by knowing their loved ones are always around them. They're always sending messages and signs to you...you just need to be aware and pay attention. If you think it's a sign, then it usually is. Read more about signs in our "Mail Bag". Las Vegas workshop and special events to be in July! A special announcement detailing the dates and events will be sent to you soon! Our recent series of Psychic/Medium Development classes was so successful, we've been asked to present them in a multi-day workshop. Each class session creates more excitement as everyone taps into and discover their psychic souls! When we begin our road tours this summer, the classes will be embodied in our multi-day workshop/retreat to be presented at various locations across the country. Our course is titled: F.E.E..D. Your Psychic/Medium Soul: Find, Enable, Exercise and Develop your Psychic/Medium Abilities All descriptions of the workshop and class sessions are on our website. We're in the process of creating an advanced course in mediumship for all former class participants who've completed the series or attended multi-day workshops. Ask Dennis & Alice  Q: I would like to know how long do loved ones have to be dead before a medium can make contact with them? Is a few months too early? Jennifer J. (Canada) A: The first (and most difficult) concept to accept is understanding that loved ones never “die”. Their physical body is what dies in the sense the soul no longer needs it. Once we begin using the terms “transition” or “crossed over”, it becomes easier to know relationships can continue. The connection and contacts are always there if you’re ready and willing to listen, see, and pay attention to the signs. We used to say it took six months to one year for the communication to be clear enough for someone to have a reading. However, every time we think there’s a general rule or pattern, the Spirits come through with yet another exception! There is no set time. We’ve had people communicate after just a few weeks, and the messages are very clear. Many come through very soon after passing, sometimes even days. Those who had a long illness or who had Alzheimers prior to passing can come through right away and communicate very well. Many communications come through even while a person is still on this side. That often happens when a person has Alzheimers, is in a coma, or is very ill or elderly and close to crossing over. Q: My Auntie Pam passed away Friday, May 9th, after battling cancer. Two days after she passed, there was a big butterfly balloon on my front yard, although it was deflated. It had to have been placed there. It was perfectly laid out flat and it did not move. My mom and I interpreted this as Pam wanting us to play "Butterfly" by Mariah Carey at her service. Do people who have passed ever try to communicate this way? Thanks. Megan A: May your aunt's love and memories of her life continue to be a comfort to you and your family. Your question is a good one, as many people are curious about signs received from departed loved ones. Yes, you may certainly take the balloon as a sign and message from your Auntie Pam. Sending messages in this manner is an easy way for newly departed souls to get in touch with loved ones on this side. The fact that you and your mom immediately recognized the meaning and your aunt’s intent is wonderful. Alzheimer's - a view from the Other Side Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease that attacks predominately elderly people. It is devastating to those who see their loved ones “less” than how they have always known them. However, to the people who are struck with this illness, it is a very different experience. In early 1999, Alice and I were living in South Florida and were in the process of editing our first book, Together Again. I had already begun doing research on the next book, which included going into deep meditations and contacting my guides and teachers on the Other Side. During this time period I gave a reading to a woman named Margie whose mother, Belle, came through incredibly strong and began telling her things that were, as had become the norm, very accurate about her life and what she had been doing. Margie became very wide eyed and looked surprised, like a deer caught in the headlights. I stopped the reading for a moment to make sure she was okay when she said very slowly, “But my mother is still alive -- she is still here! How can she be communicating with you? She is still alive!” Now I had the surprised look! Immediately, my personal guide, Ho, came through to me and said, “Continue with the reading and all your questions will be answered.” So I did. What came through next was extremely enlightening. I was told that, yes, the mother’s physical body was still here, but her soul now resided mostly on the Other Side. By “mostly”, they meant that during the moments of the person’s lucidity here, the soul is actually back in the body momentarily. So, for a short time such Alzheimer’s patients are able to recognize their loved ones and can actually communicate fairly well. If you took the time to ask them where they had been and who they had seen while “out”, they might even be able to tell you. Margie’s reading continued and her mother then began describing a visit from Margie and her family. Belle said she was so excited to see them on Saturday afternoon when they had come to visit and the red roses that she so loved had made her smile. She let her daughter know how very glad she had been to see her granddaughter. Belle also said she was reunited with her husband and a number of other family members on the Other Side. She described how they were taking care of her while she was in this position of being moved back and forth between the two worlds. Belle said it was a “wonderful place to be” and that she was preparing herself for going back “home” to the Other Side. My client just sat there looking at me with tear-filled eyes, hardly able to speak. She said she had come to me to try and get a message from someone on the Other Side to see if they were taking care of her mother. She was totally taken by surprise that her mother was the one to come through to her because her mother was completely oblivious to anyone who came to visit. Even though there were times when her mother was lucid, smiling and chatty, she seemed angry and was very irritable the rest of the time. Alzheimer’s is a disease of the brain; the physical reasons for it don’t really concern me because we have doctors for that. The spiritual reasons and what happens to the person’s soul and mind are more important to me. It was explained to me in a very simple way: when Alzheimer’s attacks a person, the soul and the mind become separated from the body and brain of the person affected. In other words, the soul and memories of the person affected leave and go home to the other side leaving the physical body and brain here. The body and brain still function without the guidance of the soul and its memories. This means that the person you once knew and their recognition of you and others here, is now on the Other Side. It is almost as if the person has already died, except the shell of who they were is still living. This makes it hard on the people here because they have no way of letting go or grieving for this loss of the person they love, and in many ways this is worse than having lost the person to death. The emotional upheaval takes it toll on the family when the grief process is delayed. Many people I have read for since that first Alzheimer’s reading have been able to derive great comfort knowing their loved ones are not suffering or in pain in any way. They now understand that the person's soul is really reunited with friends and family on the Other Side and is at peace. It is my hope that this information will provide comfort to many others who have family members affected by Alzheimer’s as they come to know and accept that their loved ones are being taken care of and in a loving place. Dear Dennis, I want to sincerely thank you for the reading that you did for me last night (May 18th) on the "Angels in Waiting" show via KOST 103.5. The message from my father, William, was very clear, comforting and helpful. Thank you for being such a wonderful messenger for loved ones who are always watching and continuing to be an integral part of our lives here on earth. I signed up for your newsletter and find it so very interesting, due to the fact that for years I have been telling my son, who is 13, that as we come onto this earth, it is what we have chosen but have no memory of the experiences. Personally, I had never read this theory anywhere, but just deeply believed in it because of feelings I have had that I had experienced happenings before. More about free will & choices Dear Dennis, If everything is so pre-arranged, what is anyone's incentive to "try" to do anything - improve, change, stop drugs, etc.? We should perhaps all just sit back and "let it happen." I believe that the lessons we are to learn are pre-arranged and determined, but I believe we can fall off our path. My deceased husband told me that from the other side through a very reliable medium. I think we have choices while we are here that affect how we tackle our pre-arranged lessons, and especially how we affect our attitude and happiness in life. If that were not true we would all be happy as jaybirds with no worries or, more importantly, no responsibilities.. I really struggle with the concept that everything is as it should be, and I have absolutely no choice in anything, even my thoughts. Please elaborate on this a little more. Thanks much. Joanne B. (Wisconsin) I love this question. Not because of the question but because it shows that you are a thinking person. Just the fact that you asked this question tells me you are someone who is awake and not just bumbling through life blindly. Yes, I believe everything is prearranged and decided long before we ever got here and yes, I do say we should all sit back, enjoy life and allow it to happen. I also say that there are no lessons to learn -- only experiences to have and enjoy, and yes, we can have the illusion of feeling like we have fallen off our path. Yes, we have choices to make, and they do affect our attitude and happiness. Yes, we should be free of worry and doubt. All of these components are a part of the experience that comes with being human. We are all a part of God; we are all one. If God is really all-knowing and we are a part of that, then we also know everything there is to know “conceptually”. Therefore, because we already know everything conceptually, we come here to learn things “experientially”. Let me explain further. I know, conceptually, what it would be like to jump out of a plane with a parachute on. I can tell you what it would feel like to fall through the air, pull the ripcord and feel the pressure of the parachute catching air and floating to the ground. I can also tell you it would probably hurt a little when your feet hit the ground when you land a little wrong. I can also adamantly decline to have this experience in this life, but there are people who chose to experience it each and every day of the year. This truly is “free-will”, but I made that choice long before I got here. For this lifetime, I chose to not have the experience of jumping out of a plane, so it is not in my realm of thought or desire. However, I also said that we give ourselves the illusion of free will. What I mean is, before we came into life, as loving pure souls on the other side, we planned our life and everything in it. We planned everything out because we wanted to make sure we received everything possible that life has to give us. Now wait, you should read on because I have never been told by those on the other side, nor have I told others, that we shouldn’t “try” to be and do our best in everything that life has to offer. It is here for our experience and our enjoyment. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could be “happy as jaybirds with no worries or, more importantly, no responsibilities”? But alas, we are not and that, too, is a part of the human experience. What I am trying to put across to you is that you do have a choice in this life. You can go through life kicking and screaming and just bumbling along, or you can go through it enjoying each and every experience. And, yes, even the experiences that are not so much fun are a part of your perfect path. It is wonderful that you have received messages from your deceased husband. If what your husband said to you about your path makes sense and rings true to you, then by all means honor those beliefs and convictions. If you question those things you hear, then know that you are moving forward in your life’s journey. I hope this helps...Dennis |

The first show was so successful, the producers immediately expanded it an extra hour. Life Partner and Twin Soul We first met Ron when he called for a phone reading in April of 2000, shortly after his partner crossed over. Michael came through in Ron's reading then, and has been quite specific in all readings since. In you I saw a beautiful gentle and kind Spirit. You were my first true Love.
